bj spoke gallery announces a call for artists for EXPO 41, an international fine art competition open to artists who live in the United States and abroad.
The Juror is Sewon Kang, currently Archivist at the Easton/Bourgeois Archive in NYC and formerly Curatorial Assistant at MOMA.
Each submission entitles the artist to enter up to 6 works and/or 2 videos. Artists will be juried on the body of work submitted. This exhibition will be an eclectic show. The juror will be selecting from a wide range of styles and media.
The selected winning artists’ works for EXPO 41 will be on exhibition on the bj spoke gallery website from March 1 to March 22, 2022.
There will be a Zoom reception for the winning artists and their guests on March 5, 2022. The online show will be widely promoted on the gallery’s website and social media.
ACCEPTED MEDIA: EXPO 41 is opened to all media and styles of fine art: watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, digital art, fiber art, No crafts, please.
Who is it for: Artists living in the United States and abroad.
ENTRY FEE: $35 for up to 6 images and/or 2 videos; any or all of which could be selected for the online exhibition. You will be juried on your body of work. If you’re submitting an Installation or sculptural work please consider using 2 or more of your 6 permitted images and/or a video, in order to give the juror an accurate visual. Please keep in mind 6 images are 6 images, not 6 entries.
