Curated by Kristine Schomaker: Shoebox Arts Founder, Mentor, Publisher, and Artist
Art can be dangerous. Sometimes on purpose- sometimes… Well, accidents happen. I have friends who use fireworks in their art, some use fire, others have used guns. But I find the real danger is the Exacto Knife. Ouch. Those paper cuts are vicious!!
Does your art involve cutting? Do you slice, chop, explode, sever, pierce, or otherwise divide or detach your materials to use in your artwork?
Shoebox Arts invites you to submit your “cut” artworks for this national online exhibition at Shoebox Projects, our alternative art space. On view 1-22-23 to 2-17-23. Awards include a solo show (online) at Shoebox Projects.
Deadline: 8. January 2023
Who is it for: Artwork can be any media (Drawing, Video, Painting, Sculpture, Digital, Intermedia, etc.) but should address the “Making the Cut” idea somehow
Application fee: $15.00
Benefit: Solo exhibition and cash awards
